Our promise

What counts as spam

Spam is unsolicited e-mail, typically advertising, that arrives without having been requested. In our view a message is spam whenever

Prior business contact

Prior contact exists where the person receiving the e-mail has already placed an order with the sender, requested details from them, answered a survey or been in touch with them by other means.

Proper consent

Consent is proper when the person was told plainly, before anything was collected, how their address would be used – and agreed to exactly that.
