How we handle your data

The following information explains what happens to personal data on awesome-lht.net and when you join our mailing list.

2. Joining the mailing list

When you join, these details are recorded:

• the e-mail address you provide
• the categories you select
• as proof of your agreement, the exact time of joining, the IP address used and the user agent string of your browser

We use them to send you e-mails with discoveries, tips and offers in the categories you picked.
Legal ground: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – you have given your consent.

Confirmation link: joining only becomes effective once you click the link in the e-mail we send immediately after you sign up. This protects you from someone else entering your address.

Who sends the e-mails: sending and list management are carried out on our instructions by Light House Traffic Inc., which is bound by a processing contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Retention: your details are held for as long as you remain on the list. When you leave, we erase them; only the proof that you once agreed is kept, and it is locked against any other use.

Leaving the list: click the opt-out link found in every mailing, or send a message to the controller listed in section 1. Leaving does not make earlier processing unlawful.

3. Data recorded when you browse

For each page view the server writes a log entry containing, among other things, the IP address, a timestamp, the URL requested and the browser type. We keep these logs to protect the website and keep it running reliably, relying on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. What you are entitled to

The GDPR gives you the right to find out which of your data we hold (Art. 15), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17), to restrict its use (Art. 18), to take it with you (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent at any time and complain to a data protection authority.
